Promised: Photos of Tacky Prom

IUDM does a ton of very interesting events to raise money for Riley Children's Hospital. A few weeks ago I went to the IUDM Tacky Prom and got to spend a night dancing away like a goofball to Michael Jackson and Grease songs. My interest has been piqued and I want to learn how to swing dance for next year!

The photo doesn't do my blue sparkly velour outfit justice. But trust me, it was super tacky!

However, I am on the lookout for a vintage 80's prom dress for next year.

The Day after Valentines Day

Go Big, or Go Home is my motto. Why should Valentines Day be any different? (Especially when it is your third V-Day together). Naturally, I gorged myself on chocolates, cookies, chocolate strawberries, macho nachos, and cheeseburgers from Opie Taylor's (with my lovely BF). Today I am consequently recovering and have made a resolution to only eat one piece of chocolate a day. By my calculations I shouldn't have to replenish my chocolate supply until my birthday this summer.

However, I haven't factored cookies into my calculations.... I ordered the most adorable cookies from Sugar&Spice, a bakery in the IU Union. These heart-shaped cookies have personalized messages and are quite delectable. They served as our afternoon snack yesterday before we saw the movie The Vow, which was a perfect V-Day movie.

 What's the perfect addition to a V-Day movie, cookies, and chocolate strawberries? A hand-painted frame, of course! We had a Women in Business social last week where we decorated frames. Yes, I did the lettering by hand. To be honest, I am quite proud of my work.

It's that time of year again...IUDM!

That's a lie. IUDM (aka Indiana University Dance Marathon) never stops. We give it our all FTK (for the KIDS) all year long.

We did, however, just have selections for committees and I am pleased to announce that I am on the Marathon Relations Committee with three friends that I did dance marathon with in high school. During the year we will visit high school dance marathons around the state and attend other IUDM events. I am SUPER DUPER excited to say the least.
